About bollards

The mooring column is designed and selected according to the berth capacity and dock structure, and meets the requirements of safe and reliable operation and convenient operation of ship leaving dock, berthing, shifting berth and turning head. The mooring column is made up of shell, bolt, nut, washer, anchor plate and core packing. Cast iron cast iron (HT200) and cast steel (zg230-450) are used to tie the ship.

By use, there are general bollards, storm bollards, test bollards and so on.

The position of the center of the common mooring column is generally about 0.5-0.8 meters from the front line, which is too close to be hit by ships when they are close to, and it is not safe to operate with cables. Too far back, obstructing the loading and unloading machinery and damaging the cable. For the fitting-out and repairing quays, as there are facilities such as electrical connection boxes at the front, it is required that the mooring column should be slightly away from the leading edge line, about 0.8 ~ 1.0 meters.

Storm pillars are used for mooring during storms and are generally located behind the pier. Some ports do not have storm bollards because there is little chance of typhoon, or ships do not take shelter from the wind during strong winds; In some ports, in order not to impede the operation of loading, unloading, and transportation machinery, storm mooring pillars are not set up behind the docks.
